I am working on being content with the weather. We have a nice home and I am thankful for the warm place to live. I really don't want to complain anymore about the weather as I am the one who chooses to live here.

Twilight saga

I am very much looking forward to the New Moon movie coming out later this week! I am a sucker for romance fantasies and this series is up near the top.
I hope to win a soundtrack to the new movie so I can feel like I am in the loop with all the latest music out there these days. Listening to the alternative radio in town plays many of the songs on the soundtrack. I feel young again when I listen to these songs, and they even play some of the ones I remember from when I was in HS.
All moms out there ought to checkout twilightmoms.com!

I really enjoy summer. The eating of watermelon that is sweet and tasty and all the ripe veggies fresh from the garden...another reason that moving to somewhere with a longer growing season would be nice. I had a nice time at the church picnic this weekend and hanging out with my family. We had a water balloon fight and went swimming-yes my pool is still green. I like green, it's a nice color.

Contentment seems far off

I have been contemplating writing for many days now and finally got the chance to get here. There are many things I could write about.
I guess I am just frustrated regarding the choices some people make and then somehow drag myself and my family into. I really enjoy helping others out because of the satisfied feeling I get inside, but my flesh fights the good inside me more often than I would like to admit.

It also seems like I don't like to work as a nurse 'cause it makes me crabby (which I think is due to frustration with the situations), but even when I am not working I am crabby staying home with my kids. I am not content in my circumstances like Paul was when he said he has learned to be content...I have a long way to go. This is frustrating 'cause I thought I was doing really good. Boo. I do miss visiting people in their homes and would like to see some visits again soon.

On the plus side, I have been enjoying being a home body more and more 'cause taking several kids out is a daunting task and I seem to have endless things that need doing here at home.
I enjoy making meals for my family and working in crafts here. My kids and Tom need to learn to enjoy staying home yet.

It's been a while

I am really bad at consistancy. There are many things I wanted to write in this blog, but I felt like they were all compaining about something and i hate complainers and figured others did too. Or maybe i'm a negative person...Lol, others, that's hilariuos 'cause that means other people are reading my blog which is funny 'cause I think Mel is the only one who knows I have a blog. My family is not what you'd call tech savy, but a few are. I should e-mail people and promote myself/family ramblings...
We have just figured out that Tom will be able to graduate from BBI in 2010 and we ae so excited to leave the frozen tundra soon after. We are considering moving to NC or AZ. I have said that the reason we are in this state is for friends and family, which is true. I will probally ask you to move with us...:) As far as Bible school goes, it is interesting how many schools of thought there are regarding religion just in the christian relm. We were involved in our own church until October of 2008 (5 yrs total) and have not visited other churches in forever. People from Sheboygan to West Bend are really nice people, but we have realized what we really believe. Hearing what other people believe about God is good for reflecting on who you think God is. If you are used to attending one church, you should visit one of a different flavor, it's a good check-up.
We have also been blessed to have a few extra kids around the house a few days per week. Girls Hannah and Amber. They are really sweet and play nice with Stephen and Eden. Lilly loves all the excitement and squeels in delight at their combined antics. We still need more boys for Stephen to hang out with. He has been bugging us to have his friends over and we probally will soon...then it will be 5 kids to 2 adults...we need a bigger house!

School Days

As I was rushing to get my 6 yr old off to school this am I was awestruck that I am not a great teacher. I could be, maybe, and I am sure I am better than some people...Stephen has grown SO much in the last 1+month he has been in school it is amazing. He knows his numbers AND knows how to add and subtract! This Thursday is parent visitation day at school and I need to say how much I appreciate ho Mrs Drewa is helping Stephen learn and grow. He used to cry a lot when going to public functions (like AWANA) but does not any more. He also is creative with paper and crayons (Icouldn't get him to pick up a crayon and color, much less make something)
I also realize that as I look at my son's math and reading homwork I am thankful because I can read and write-that a teacher took the time to teach me and I can function in this world. I am thankful for the teachers in this world!

Lovin' life

I am so glad I got to see my longtime bud Mel today and see her mom as well. We did not do any uber girly thing like spa day or have lots of free time, but we lived life together for a couple hours and it was wonderful. I love these type of days where it is kinda rushy and contains baby drama, but in the end you look into your cup of coffee and say ahhh, another day in the life of paradise-would not trade it for anyone else's life.
